The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) is governed by the principal officers below:
Professor Oluwatoyin Temitayo Ogundipe, Ph.D; MBA, FLS, FRSB, FAS. is the current Chairman of the Governing Board of JUPEB and also the current Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
He is a Professor in the Department of Botany and also the Director of Academic Planning at the University of Lagos. He is a Life member of the International Society of Plant Morphologist, a Fellow of Cohort 9 of the Leadership for Environment and Development, and the Linnaean Society, London.
He was an Adjunct Professor to the Department of Biology, Central Michigan University, Michigan. Between 2004 and 2006, he enjoyed Royal Society of London, Lennoix-Boyd Memorial Trust and Bentham-Moxon Trust sponsorship to Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, U.K.
Professor Duro Adebayo Ajeyalemi is the Pioneer and current Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board. He is a Professor of Science and Technology Education at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
Professor Ajeyalemi was appointed the first Professor of Science Education in 1992 at the then Department of Curriculum Studies, University of Lagos. Currently he is the most senior Professor in the Department of Science and Technology Education. Prof. Ajeyalemi was the Pioneer Director and Dean of Student Affairs, Sub-Dean and Dean, Faculty of Education and member of University of Lagos Senate from 1982 to date.
He was an alumnus of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo (1970-72), the University of Lagos, Akoka (1973-76) as the best graduating student in the Faculty of Education in 1976 and the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK (1978-81).
He is a member of several professional bodies, Prof. Ajeyalemi is a Fellow, Nigerian Academy of Education (FNAE), Fellow, Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (FSTAN), a Chartered Chemist and Certified Teacher.
