Professor Ademola Adeleke
Registrar/CE

Ademola Adeleke, MNAL, is a Professor of International Relations and Strategic Studies in the Department of History and Strategic Studies, University of Lagos.  A graduate of the University of Lagos, he earned his doctorate degree as a Commonwealth Scholar at the University of Toronto, Canada, in 1996. 

Professor Adeleke has published widely in books and in leading international journals. His publication ‘The Strings of Neutralism: Burma and the Colombo Plan,’ won the Holland Prize for the best article published in Pacific Affairs in 2004. He served on the Foreign Policy Technical Working Group of the Vision 20:2020 Committee in 2009. In 2016 he was appointed as the Dean of Student Affairs in the University of Lagos, a position he held for five years, until 2021.

He assumed duty as the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of JUPEB on 2 May 2024. Professor Adeleke is married with three children and a grandchild.
